Maximilian II, Grand Duke of Baden (Maximilian Andreas Friedrich Gustav Ernst August Bernhard, born 3 July 1933 at Schloss Salem, Salem, Baden-Alsace, Germany), is the last Grand Duke of Baden. He the son of Berthold II of Baden and Princess Theodora of Greece and Denmark. Through his mother, he is the nephew of Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh and is first cousin to Charles, Prince of Wales. He is the representative of the descent of the Kings of Sweden of the House of Holstein-Gottorp.
